The patrimony conserved by the Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti comprises principally documents and other material relating to activities carried out during a period of over a century by companies of the Olivetti Group.
Everyone uses it but few know its story, its human and technological value and its economic relevance.
Our project is to explain the Telecom Italia Network to Italians, to show how it has evolved over the years, and the fundamental milestones that have marked its development, with a different episode provided every week.
For over a century, Olivetti places design on the same footing as innovation and experimentation.
This is demonstrated by its focus on promoting young talent and important experiences exchanged in the context of industrial design, also the precious contributions of artists and designers over the years, all based on the belief that aesthetics can be a fundamental driving force also for industry. One example of this is the Olivetti Design Contest, reaching its third edition, that attracts the major design institutes of international level which awards prizes to talented young people who are able to make an original contribution to product design.
