With one hundred years of research and innovation behind it, Olivetti has been the Telecom Italia Group’s information technology equipment specialist since August 2003. Headquartered in Ivrea, Olivetti offers products and services for SMBs, for the RETAIL sector and solutions for Large Accounts. Olivetti reported 2009 revenues of 350 million euro, of which 50% came from international sales. At 31/12/2009 it had 1,098 employees. It markets its products directly and through dealer and distributor networks in 50 countries.

The product portfolio for SMBs and Large Accounts comprises:
  • a new range of PCs, including new-generation notebooks and netbooks delivering innovative services

  • traditional Olivetti products including fax machines and printers deploying ink-jet technology, as well as calculators and original supplies;

  • Document Hub; an advanced document management solution delivering document life-cycle services in SaaS mode (scanning of incoming documents, postal services for outgoing documents, electronic digital storage in compliance with current laws with assumption of responsibility on electronic signature, etc.).

Olivetti’s range of products and services includes cash registers and POS systems with integrated software for automated point-of-sale management

SPECIALISED TERMINALS
Terminals and specialised peripherals for a variety of sectors, including banking, postal services, lotteries and gaming, transport.
Olivetti markets its products and services to Large Accounts through direct channels and to the SOHO and SMB segments through indirect channels. The dealer channel is a key resource for the company, with the stable presence of approximately 500 dealers and resellers in Italy, more than 1,000 distributors in Europe and local partners in the rest of the world, located mainly in Latin America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The Olivetti service organisation provides specific assistance across Italy and Europe, both through the Olivetti dealer network and directly with logistics centres and direct service engineers (more than 2,500 in Italy).

OLIVETTI I-JET, solutions for industrial printing, biomedical applications and microelectronic mechanical systems (MEMS) based on the proprietary ink-jet technology.
